In the township the population was spread out, with 20.7% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 26.5% from 45 to 64, and 22.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.82. 23.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 239 households, out of which 23.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.2% were non-families. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population. The racial makeup of the township was 96.73% White, 0.34% Native American, 0.17% from other races, and 2.75% from two or more races. There were 430 housing units at an average density of 12.2 per square mile (4.7/km 2). The population density was 16.5 per square mile (6.4/km 2). Demographics Īs of the census of 2000, there were 581 people, 239 households, and 173 families residing in the township. Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.99 square miles (93.21 km 2), of which 35.23 square miles (91.25 km 2) is land and 0.76 square miles (1.97 km 2) (2.11%) is water. Nester was another lumber settlement it the township, and it had a post office that operated from Septemuntil June 30, 1911.It had a post office from Auguntil August 14, 1897. Corrigan was a lumber settlement in the township.The population was 551 at the 2010 census. Logan Township is a civil township of Ogemaw County in the U.S.
